200hr Yoga Teacher Training
+ Soul Exploration
Led by Jess Beyer, 500hr CYT, LMT, CNHP, Reiki Master
Welcome
Our intention for our yoga teacher training is to support you in learning ways to honor the roots of yoga and integrate yoga into your life. This 200-hour yoga teacher training adheres to the World Yoga Federation training standards and offers you a thorough understanding how yoga empowers you and the people you support, on and off of the yoga mat. This teacher training is open to anyone interested in deepening their practice!
Rhythm of Program
Our 200-hour yoga teacher training meets in-person for Saturday and Sunday workshop-style modules to complete your contact hours. Each live workshop is designed to resemble a retreat-like format with time dedicated to creating a sacred space to support authentic and meaningful connections with like-minded souls. You will also complete required home study readings, pre-recorded lessons, watch assigned movies, create a teaching practical, attend classes outside the training and attend a field trip or two.
From a nurturing place, you will be invited to experience all practices and teachings for yourself, with the intention of empowering you as a helping professional and yoga teacher. Because this teacher training is a BIG commitment and dedication of your time, each student is required to complete an application for enrollment. This application will also focus on how you plan to support your whole self (mind/body/spirit & heart) throughout the training.

“The 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training at Zen Landing was a remarkable experience for me. I was hesitant at first because of the time and financial commitment. Could I make that commitment for myself? Eventually I was guided by my heart and I signed up with Jess. Yoga is something that I am passionate about...the philosophy, the movement of my body and the awareness of my spirit. It helps me to accept myself and my reality. I did not think that I would teach yoga, after all I am 72 yrs old. The training changed my perspective. YTT helped me to realize my spiritual nature. The training brought me confidence in myself and balance. I became kind and loving to myself at last. I reset my priorities and can maintain calm in the storm. I teach a few classes now and find real joy in their preparation. I want to share with others the peace and happiness that yoga practice can provide.”

“Becoming a yoga teacher has been a dream of mine for many years. During Covid, I took an online certification course. However after completing the necessary work, I didn’t feel confident to teach.
I started attending classes at Zen Landing, and very quickly realized what I was missing. I was missing the hands on, face to face, interaction. Once I saw that Jess was offering the training at zen, I signed up!! I couldn’t be happier that I did.
Jess, is an amazing instructor, teacher, mentor, and human. Her knowledge and understanding off all aspects of yoga go far beyond the mat.
She surrounds herself with an amazing community of people that make you feel like family and accepted for who you are instantly. During our training we attended several workshops. Every instructor that we had brought a deeper understanding and insight that allowed me to really understand and appreciate their knowledge.
Because of Jess’s training and the whole Zen Landing experience, I can make my dream my reality. I plan on teaching at Zen Landing and passing it on through me.”

FAQs
-
World Yoga Federation requires that all 200 hours are completed and that you have 180 contact hours. However, we did put a make-up policy in place in case of a conflict or emergency. You are allowed to miss 20 hours maximum. We ask that you submit a planned absence no more than a month prior. In case of an emergency, most sessions will be recorded and if you miss one of those recorded sessions, you must watch and write a reflection of the missed session. If you miss a session that is not recorded, you will have to meet privately with the instructor (for an extra fee) and make-up the work. If you miss more than 20 contact hours, you will not be able to receive your certification.
-
We highly suggest bringing a change of clothing and/or wear layers, especially during longer days. Be sure to bring lunch, snacks and water to nourish yourself. There are local places to eat on your break and a Wawa three blocks a way. Be sure to bring a notebook, pen and anything else you need to be comfortable.
We have everything else you need except a yoga mat of your own. We provide all of the props (blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps, chairs) you may need.
-
Yes! There will be several small breaks throughout the day and a one hour lunch on Saturdays. During the training, you are empowered to take care of your needs as they come in order to be fully present for the information you will be learning.
-
Once you enter our space, please remove your shoes and place them in the cubbies provided for you. You may also leave anything you do not wish to take with you into the studio. There will either be a receptionist at the desk or the operator will lock the front door prior to your class/appointment starting.
Yoga Classes
Please bring a yoga mat, water and anything you need to be comfortable. We can provide props such as blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps and chairs. Those without memberships that need to borrow a mat can rent a mat for $3 (+tax) that can be paid to your instructor prior to class. All membership holders receive free mat rentals for the duration of their membership.
Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled and grounded into our beautiful space. Please leave all cell phones and distractions out of the practice studio. Please leave rental mats on the floor so the instructor can clean after class. Once class has ended, feel free to enjoy a cup of tea while creating connection with our high vibe community✨
